Right 2. Right to Equal Protection Under Law

Section 1

All persons within the United States are equal before the law and shall receive equal protection and equal benefit of the laws.

Section 2

No law shall deny or abridge the rights of any person on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender, national origin, disability, or other status defined by law.

Section 3

Government institutions shall apply laws fairly and impartially to all persons.

Section 4

Any person whose equal protection under the law has been denied shall have the right to seek remedy in a court of law.
