All persons accused of a crime shall have the right to a speedy trial.
Courts shall ensure that criminal proceedings occur without unreasonable delay.
No person shall be detained for an extended period without the opportunity for timely adjudication.
Congress and the states may establish reasonable time standards consistent with this right.
