Right 56. Right to Bodily Autonomy

Section 1

All persons shall have the right to control decisions concerning their own bodies.

Section 2

No person shall be subjected to medical treatment, experimentation, or procedures without informed consent except where required by law for public safety.

Section 3

The government shall respect the personal autonomy and bodily integrity of every individual.

Section 4

Congress and the states may establish regulations to protect public health that do not unnecessarily infringe upon this right.
