Right 58. Right to Marriage

Section 1

All citizens of the United States shall have the freedom to marry a consenting adult of their choosing.

Section 2

No law shall deny or restrict the right to marry based on sex, gender, race, religion, or national origin.

Section 3

Marriages lawfully recognized in one jurisdiction shall be recognized throughout the United States.

Section 4

Congress and the states may establish procedures for the registration and regulation of marriages consistent with this right.
